I needed to drill out 3/4 x 1/2” pipe bushings to let 1/2” pipe nipples rotate freely in them. Had a 3/4” coupler in vice grips as the fixture & needed to do 20 of them. Ideal size would have been 55/64 to just pass a 1/2” nipple. Ordered from Irwin and American. The Irwin struggled through one bushing. The American couldn’t even do that. Chuck’ed up the 7/8” Bad Dog from their set. It was 1/64 over the diameter I wanted but not too bad. The Bad Dog ate through 20 in my self-feed press in no time at all. I was squirting oil but don’t know that I even needed to. 20th bushing drilled out as easy and smooth as the first one!… Quite the perfirmance by a Bad Dog bit!! Wish they’d fill in the gaps by 64th in their set but result was good enough for a home-brew CD shelf I’m fabricating out of Sch 40 iron pipe.
I bought these about 8 years ago. They are great with a drill press and good with a handheld. If you drill a pilot hole, you will ruin them. Follow the instructions and these things will keep you plenty happy. I broke a few trying to finish a hole I started with other bits, and learned my lesson. I’d buy another set for sure.

I purchased this set over 10 years ago at a trade show and forgot about them. This year we had to purchase a new 2020 Ford Transit van. In the process of getting it set up on the inside with shelving we needed to drill a few holes in the inner sheet metal. To say that that metal is “Ford Tough” is an understatement. I first tried some Harbor Freight titanium bits that we usually use for wood and drywall (but there were new not dull), would not phase the metal. Went and bought a $70 Milwaukee set. Broke a 3/32” bit on the 2nd pilot hole. Then I remembered we had some Bad Dog bits. Amazing!! These things powered right through. It was not easy because that steel is hard but the bits are harder and removed what I would describe as almost brittle chips. The bits I used show no wear. Although we are missing most (about 6 or 7)of our smallest sizes, these thing are great! The only thing I can think of is that they were pushed on too hard and they were broken. Just about anything can be destroyed. We also have a larger one that has a chipped tip. I don’t know how it happened. Only thing I can think of is that it was used to pry something else that was really hard. When you look at thes things they don’t look very sharp especially compared to shiny gold finished titanium bits but looks are deceiving! I will not forget that I have these in the future and will be replacing the ones that are missing. All I can say is that these bits will drill what others can’t and the poor reviews should be regarded as mis-application somehow or user error. If you have the best tools, you want a set of these bits!
I these bits are tough. They have not failed me yet.
I have owned these several years and they still preform very well. So for no need to sharpen or send anything back for replacement.
I have used these over the last several years and really appreciate the purposes I have been able to put them to. They really can drill though anything I have wanted to drill.
These drill bits have been GREAT for doing some very tough jobs!!!

Poor quality. I have tried everything. Fast, slow, lots of pressure, barely any, oil, no oil. They simply do not drill steel any better than a cheap twist bit. I will say they can drill concrete ok but nothing amazing. I don't know what bits they sent the salesman at the tool show but his must be a lot better quality than mine. I have trouble with mine chipping or dulling very quickly. Most of the time it is the first hole that chips them. If it wasn't for the warranty they would get a 1 star.
